ART & SOUL

ART & SOUL

Art is how we communicate with the Universe, we are all born creators in our souls.

“Where the spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art” Leonardo Da Vinci

I believe the spiritual function of art links man and spirit, It heals and makes whole by making connections.

The creative artist who first sets down the vision, the performing artist who takes up that vision and brings it to life, and the client who becomes the active participant. They are all links in the chain of artistic creation.

Art contributes to our spiritual wealth and development. This is further evidence, for those who need it, of the principle that everyone is connected to everyone else—from the past, living now, or still to come—through the spiritual dimension of experience. The purest connection someone can make with art is through the soul. That moment when art communicates through a deeper level of understanding is when the audience can truly connect with it.

DANIEL STANFORD

Sourcing his inspiration from travel, spirituality and the radiant beauty found in nature, Daniel Stanford, a Montreal-based eclectic artist, is committed to creating art that stirs the soul. Renowned for his distinctive use of mixed media,

Stanford’s expertise lies in presenting his unique vision by combining photography and natural elements such as wood, gold, pigments, and precious metals. Tapping into mysticism, enlightenment, and perspective, Stanford thrives on using his work to reflect and re-contextualize inner and outer beauty. We find parallels to an archaeological approach in the way Stanford references ancient cultures and temples. This imaginative approach to his craft has served Stanford throughout his illustrious career, extending from artistic direction to painter and photographer. With over 20 years of experience across the fashion, luxury and branding arenas, Stanford has collaborated with many famous photographers. This includes fellow artist, Raphael Mazzucco, with whom he has created iconic campaigns for Lancôme, Guess Jeans, Intimissimi Lingerie, Revlon, and Victoria’s Secret. Stanford’s photography collection, Brazil Sea of Dunes, is influenced by his observations during recent travels to Brazil, and his recent work combines images of these iconic sandscapes with FASCINASIA inspired mixed media paintings to create an ethereal, transportive collection. Brazil Sea of Dunes continues to garner excitement across the art world for its unprecedented beauty. His painting “Arabian Dream” is featured in the 2013 film House of Versace. Embracing the beauty and nuances of far-flung cultures with creativity and intention, Stanford’s work continues to take us on a geographical and emotional journey through his paintings and photography.

New work is inspired by early 2016 travels through Japan, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Vietnam showing a commitment to evolving the FASCINASIA series. In 2017, Stanford’s work was on display at his first Museum show “Fifteen Minutes” a show about celebrity art at the Cornell Art Museum in Delray Beach Florida. In the spring of 2019, Daniel’s had the privilege of having his photography series from the Brasilia Exchanging Glances series shown in several public locations from the largest Subway station in Sao Paulo to the MIS – Museu da imagem e do son, as part of a group show retrospective.

TOMAAS

TOMAAS is a contemporary digital artist— best described as a MΞtaSurrealist — whose work combines NFTs, photography, animation, and other digital processes. Born in Hamburg, Germany, TOMAAS spent 18 years living and working in New York City before relocating to Paris in 2014, where he’s currently based.

TOMAAS creates visceral art that’s emotionally-charged. His work thus critiques the post-human zeitgeist of a society that’s increasingly dictated—and defined—by artificial intelligence and networked cultures.

Inspired by iconic surrealists such as Salvador Dali, Giorgio De Chirico,  Eugène Delacroix and a background in fashion photography, TOMAAS has developed a unique visual language that breathes new life into the uncanny. His portraits are ethereal and romantic yet dystopian—overlaying aesthetic references such as Hollywood pin-ups and couture fashion with science fiction archetypes, like the cyborg, and symbols of speculative futures. In doing so, TOMAAS’s work confronts traditional notions of beauty and eroticism, while invoking post-internet philosophical and experimental concepts.

Recent notable NFT sales include Vegan Beauty and Hikikomori  — both unique artworks that sold on SuperRare. Additionally, TOMAAS’s photography is in prestigious collections worldwide, such as the private collection of Higgin Kim in Korea. Mr. Kim sits on the Global Patrons Council (GPC) of Art Basel and is widely recognized as a leading collector of contemporary art.

TOMAAS has also exhibited widely in the traditional art world. In 2017, he was included in a group exhibition alongside acclaimed photographers David LaChapelle and Liu Bolin at the Royal Monceau Gallery in Paris, France. That same year he was invited to exhibit at the prestigious Venice Biennale. His work has been exhibited in New York City at several galleries and has been featured in numerous international publications, including: Vogue ItaliaW MagazineVSMarie ClaireElle, and Schoen, among others.

TOMAAS is also an official Ambassador for https://oceanic.global an NGO that inspires us to care deeply for the ocean and provides solutions to protect it.

Hannah Lemholt

“When I have a camera in my hand, I know no fear.”
– Alfred Eisenstaedt –

Hannah’s art has been described as stills of synergy. Soft and soulful imagery unique in their voice.

Her first photographic works within fashion were done with such depth and personality, far beyond the apparel, so much so that they went on to be exhibited.

Oversized frames were handmade and large scale prints presented in the nearly abandoned vast factory building that was becoming Magasin36 in Sweden, and they all sold out. Her work was then inquired to be bought by agents, companies and private customers, which led Hannah to focus on working mainly within fine art.

From Hannah’s already extensive body of work, trend forecaster Li Edelkoort selected favourites to be featured in her Trend Book, setting forth trends two years in advance for the textile, fashion, interior, decoration, – & beauty industry.

MICHELLE KRUGER

Michelle works in both acrylic and oil on canvas. An important facet of her expansive work is diversity. The artist naturally defies expectations put on her and goes beyond. Within the masculine and feminine, and the grandiose and humble. Michelle’s work moves beyond these dichotomies. It identifies less with the femininity that has been assigned her, and more with material: fibers, textures, mechanics and their relationship not only visually, but to other capacities such as balance, the tactile and even pain. Michelle wields force that exists in and around what she is assigned.

Like any important journey graced by highs and lows, Michelle has found therapeutic method to adapting the macabre into power and beauty. She finds difficult times to magnify honesty. While paradox fabricates the fiber of our humanity, Michelle pulls no punches in making it an important part of her work.

“There’s a crack in everything, it’s how the light gets in.” – L. Cohen

MISS ANIELA

Miss Aniela is a contemporary fine art photographer, exhibited on an international basis and noted as ‘one to watch’ by Saatchi. Working in an original, complex style that balances the intricacies of contemporary fashion and blends with classical art history, Miss Aniela creates artworks reminiscent of the Rococo Revival and the salon paintings of the 18th century.

Miss Aniela works in a Surreal Fashion style. The artistic process of Miss Aniela sees her depicting contemporary models in reference to the works of the Renaissance and Dutch masters, shot within the historic walls of stately homes.

Using elaborate settings, elegant costumes and traditional motifs, she creates her atmospheric artworks with intricate compositions and evocative lighting. She captures her scenes using photography and then processes them digitally, treating pixels as paint strokes. Her work draws inspiration from classical art history, 18th-century salon paintings and the Rococo Revival style that emerged in Second Empire France.

Daniela Raytch

Raytchev’s personal experience and observation of the human psyche have been a continuous source of inspiration for her work, and she is a devoted observer of the human condition.

Her paintings and sculpture are bold, at times ironic and feminine yet feminist. Autobiographical at the core, her process also includes interviewing participants for her projects. Depicting emotions that arise during & after a conflict, Daniela Raytchev creates interpretations of what she witnesses. She aims to artistically capture the psychological and physiological effects of conflict within, in visual terms, so that those who view her pieces cannot only relate, but also reflect upon the emotions they experience when witnessing her works. Her artistic philosophy is to address social stigma through art, focused on mental health awareness and gender & sexual equality, to advocate both acceptance and empowerment for marginalised and/or disadvantaged groups. She truly celebrates human strength and the individual potential to face adversities.

Robi Walters

Robi Walters is an artist who has captivated collectors, celebrities and brands, named as one of the ‘top creatives in the UK’ by the Telegraph. An artist with the ability to capture the essence of transformation, Robi Walters manages to give new life as well as a newfound sense of beauty and awe to the everyday objects that are simply discarded by most.

Robi Walters works in a Mixed Media Abstract style. Walters’ artistic process involves him using discarded waste materials to communicate the art of transformation; creating a unique commentary on consumerism, consumption and waste. His mixed-media artworks consist of unusual materials including the packaging of household items and broken vinyl LPs.

In the creation of his artworks, Walters arranges the fragments of his collected materials into lotus-like forms that reflect his interest in meditation and sacred geometry. His work draws inspiration from art movements such as Pop Art and Arte Povera, and are also influenced by his childhood interests in the graffiti and breakdance culture of New York’s hip-hop scene.

GALLERY ANGELIC – KATHRYN SCRUBY

“Our Team in Spirit”  We all have an Angel tribe, assisting us on our journey. Giving Ancient wisdom from the celestial realms to assist us on our spiritual path.

Living in beautiful Wales, Kathryn, originally from Sheffield, qualified as an angelic and reiki healer after experiencing Angel connections and protection. She wasn’t at all sure how she would work until she started listening to their divine guidance .

Kathryn has always been artistic and worked for a long time with resin. Her work sold internationally and commissioned work for Netflix.

Strangely she became allergic to the resin she was using and had to stop. When she reflects back she’s sure she had been nudged away by the universe. She started to have an overwhelming urge to paint & was guided about the size of canvas to use and even the paint she choose. As she prepared to work she started painting with her hands & has done so ever since the first painting.

She was guided to add selenite crystal powder (Angel dust) to emit healing and positive vibrations for whoever sits in the area of a painting.

One of her first and the most popular works Is “Team In Spirit”  This is a particularly special Angel contact either commissioned by someone searching for their tribe or team of Angels or someone seeing a completed work and just knowing that is their connection. When she’s working on a commission for someone it’s so exciting because she really has no idea of what she’s going to create.

Finished with An Angel Love Letter, there is a message given to her on completion of the work she passes onto its owner.

Working in the service of the divine is a truly humbling and beautiful part of her journey. It is a path she would not have expected to walk but by following the signs and listening to her instincts it has completely changed her life.
